All Hope Abandon, Ye Who Enter Here

  1. Scanning through the first website, I noticed that Inferno's different levels reminded me of the Kabbalah's Tree of Life, except for the fact that Inferno's levels are going towards hell instead of upward to enlightenment. Circle 9 isn't in the spiral which is similar to the somewhat unknown 10th Kabbalah element; Daath. Also, I find it interesting that theft is in circle 8 as opposed to murder which is in circle 7. All of the levels are highly tied in with catholic tradition: Inferno focuses on Hell and how one attains different levels. Purgatory talks about the 7 deadly sins. Paradiso shows paradise, whether it is heaven or earth as being the center of everything with every known celestial body rotating around it.
